Booking a trip to a Disney resort can be an incredibly exciting yet stressful time. While you will be getting the opportunity to visit the happiest place on earth, you also need to think about all of the planning and logistics that go into your trip on a budget. Whether it’s organizing your park tickets or finding the best accommodations, you need to be sure you are as prepared as you possibly can be for a magical trip. With that in mind, here are a number of tips to help you book an affordable trip to a Disney Resort:
Make Sure You Are Doing Your Research When It Comes To Sites
No matter which parks you’re going to, you need to do your research when it comes to the best places to buy tickets. While you may find that a lot of the prices are the same, some sites will have hidden costs or will be selling tickets with limited access. The best thing to do is to take a look at all of the sources and decide which one has the best Disney trip offer for you. For a great example, you can find discount Disneyland tickets here.
Keep In Mind What Dates You Want To Go, But Be Flexible
When you’re booking your Disney trip it is important you have the dates you want to go in mind. Not only will this give you an exact idea of how much it is going to cost, but it will allow you to see the availability. If you find that you’re able to be flexible on dates, you may find your price will drop considerably depending on when you go – even if it’s just changing your trip by one day!
Stay Off-Site For More Affordable Hotels
If you want to visit a Disney Resort but you’re not concerned about staying in their resort hotels, you may want to consider staying off-site to save money. Although some of the off-site hotels can be considered pricey for what they are, a little bit of hard work and determination will lead you to find some amazingly priced accommodation. Whether it’s a little further away from the resort then you planned or it doesn’t have a pool, it will be worth it when you can spend the money you saved in the parks. For a guide to finding cheap Disney accommodations, you can visit this site here.
Book During Their Special Promotional Dates
Every now and again, Disney will host special offers for those that book certain packages. Whether it’s a free Disney dining plan or kids go free, you can save yourself a lot of money if you book during these times. The best thing to do is check online as to whether or not the official site has any offers, if not it may be worth following some influential Disney bloggers to see whether or not anything important has been announced.
Set Yourself A Budget Before You Get Started
Finally, one of the best ways to save money on your Disney Trip is to set yourself a budget before you get started. There are so many different things to consider when it comes to pricing your trip, that it can become easy to overspend. If you think this is going to be the case, you may want to consider planning your budget out well in advance.

We are going to LA next week, and thinking of going to Disney. But we haven’t prebooked anything or plan anything. I guess I need to iron out the details. There are 4 of us, so I know it might cost a bit

Great tips! I haven’t been to Disney in so long because it can get so expensive. Maybe after applying these tips I can finally make it out there again!

Doing your research really can pay off! We just saved nearly $500 on WDW annual passes by buying them at Sam’s Club. The prices on the Disney website went up overnight, but Sam’s were still discounted from the original price. If I hadn’t been paying attention (and reading Disney Facebook groups), I would have been stuck paying the higher price.

Setting a budget is important. We stay on property, but I always check for promotions. Even after you book, you can modify your reservation if a new promotion comes out.
