Easter is in just a couple of weeks on April 21st! Like every year, I’ve been searching for some fun items to add to my kids Easter baskets. I love to add new items that they wouldn’t expect, as well as tried and true favorites that I know will be a hit. So here is a list of some of my Easter basket recommendations based on different interests and age groups.
For the kid who wants to snuggle
If you have a kiddo that loves their stuffed animals and babies, these are for them! We just love the Mermaid Blanket Set from Posh Peanuts. Not only do you get a super soft minky blanket for your child to get cozy in, it comes with a matching blanket for their doll. What!! The small blanket can also be used for infant photos, as shown in their product pics on Amazon. Another cuddly item is the Squishmallow Stuffed Owl which has a cool squishy inside that slowly returns to it’s original shape after being hugged.
For the toddler that likes sensory play
What toddler doesn’t love to touch & explore!? So many littles are fascinated with bubbles and that’s why I just had to add this Bubble Gun Blower to make it easier for parents to create some bubble chasing fun. Plus, with the arrival of warmer weather, water play will be a blast with these Stack & Spray Ocean Animals.
For the kid who likes to collect
One thing my kids have always had was a shelf dedicated to a favorite collection of items, toys, or figurines. One such popular series to start collecting or add to are Shopkins. This Shopkins Mini Pack is a great size & value to add to any Easter basket. Another fun series of collectibles that we recently discovered is the Treasure X series which adds the fun element of having to dig out your prize.
For the kid who likes tech toys
Today’s generation of kids really enjoy technology and toys they can interact with. Like these Mini Remote Control Cars that are just the kind of Easter basket gift that’s sure to win your techi over. In addition, these fun little interactive Fingerling creatures are all the rage.
For the kid that likes to build with Legos
All my boys always loved anything Legos! In recent years the toy company has started putting out Lego series geared toward little girls and we are hooked. Check out these mini sets that you can add to a boy themed or girl themed Easter Basket.
For the kid that likes surprises
Thanks to YouTube channel’s like Ryan ToysReview, there are lots of different products out now that have that added element of surprise that kid’s crave. One of those is Mystery Egg and this mini version is based specifically on Ryan’s picks of what kids will like. Another kid-approved brand of delight & suspense are LOL Suprise Dolls that come in a variety of sizes, but I think the mini size is just right for an Easter basket.

For the older kid (that still expects a basket!)
I have to admit, I practically gave my older kids an Easter basket until they moved out! I actually like the challenge of trying to find things that they would want & appreciate. Of course, for my daughter, I could never go wrong with adding her favorite makeup products in. Another item girls would love to find in their Easter basket is a set of Bath Bombs. Another great item, especially since my kids always seem to break or lose theirs, are Earbuds.
